Prodigy 500 X3
The Prodigy 500 X3 is a slightly overstable distance driver built for long, consistent drives without much surprise at the end of the flight. 500 plastic gives it a firm, stiffer flight plate with a pearlescent finish that holds up to a lot of full power throws.
Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -1 / 2
500 is one of Prodigy's most durable blends, and on the X3 it keeps that stiff, dependable feel through seasons of tee shots. It is less slick than a premium translucent plastic, so it grips fine even when your hands are a little sweaty mid round.
Compared to the X2 before it, the X3 gives up a touch of stability for a longer glide period through the middle of the flight and a softer left to right finish instead of a hard dump. Thrown flat with real speed it holds a long, gliding turn before settling into a controlled fade, and it takes a real headwind to knock it off that line.
This is a driver for anyone who wants max distance without babysitting an understable disc through wind. Newer players get a forgiving 12 speed that will not flip and burn on them, and power throwers get a driver that keeps gliding well past where most distance drivers start fading hard.
Want the same flight in a lighter, easier to throw weight? The Prodigy Air X3 is built from lightweight AIR plastic. Prefer a grippier base plastic instead? The 400 X3 beats in a little faster. Browse the rest of the X3 lineup.
