Kastaplast K1 Vass
4
The Kastaplast K1 Vass is a workhorse distance driver built for long, smooth S-curves and tailwind bombs, similar in spirit to the discontinued Grym. It's turned into a legitimate forehand distance disc for players who never had one before.
Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -1.5 / 2
K1 feels shallow and small in the hand for a 12 speed, smooth and grippy in a way that makes it easy to identify by feel alone. It holds up well over time and keeps its glide long after cheaper plastics would have gone soft.
Released on a hyzer it flips up to flat and carries a long, glidey S-curve before a reliable fade brings it home, and it takes full power without turning over. It's sensitive to release angle, thrown too flat and too hard it will veer off the fairway, so a touch of hyzer is the safer bet. Forehand throwers who've topped out around 300 feet find real gains here, some add 30 to 40 feet once they get the timing down, and it holds its line as well as a beat in Destroyer once it's got a few rounds on it.
Want the same disc built to glow after dark? The K1 Glow Vass carries the same flight. Prefer a firmer plastic for max speed? The K1 Hard Vass is the stiffer option. Browse our stable distance drivers.
