    Innova Pig Review

    Flight & Stability

    Flight Numbers:
    • Speed: 4
    • Glide: 1
    • Turn: 0
    • Fade: 3
The Innova Pig is an overstable putter featuring a prominent Thumtrac rim, providing a slow flight with hardly any glide. It excels at hyzer putts and throwing into headwinds during those super windy rounds. The Pig has a similar flight as a Kastaplast Berg but with more glide.

    Skill Level

Because it's a slower disc with virtually no turn and glide, the Innova Pig is an excellent option for seasoned players seeking a consistent and overstable putter. However, beginners may find the disc's low glide challenging when attempting to gain distance initially.

    Primary Use

The Pig's rapid descent and predictable fade make it perfect for shaping approach and short drives off the tee. I carry two Pigs in my bag: one with a bit more flip and a newer one that is more overstable.

This combination offers incredible control and versatility. The R-Pro plastic has a fantastic feel and ensures a dependable grip, although it may break in faster than some other plastics.

    • Hyzer putts (excellent for hyzer putts due to its thick Thumtrac rim and significant fade)
    • Windy putts & upshots (its overstable nature enables it to withstand headwinds effectively)

    Pros & Cons

While the Innova Pig is a reliable approach and driving putter with a unique feel and performance, its overstable nature and rapid break-in period might pose challenges for beginners or those who need more glide.

    Pros:

    • Predictable flight and thumtrac rim for increased control
    • Excellent for headwind shots and hyzer putts
    • Appropriate for cycling (R-Pro plastic breaks in comfortably and remains usable)
    • Good option for players seeking an alternative to the Kastaplast Berg
    Cons:
    • Low glide might not be ideal for novices
    • R-Pro plastic tends to break in quickly, affecting stability and glide

I highly recommend giving the Innova Pig a try if you're searching for a slow overstable putter with a unique feel, especially if you appreciate a thumb track design and the R-Pro plastic's grip.
