Champion plastic is Innova's ultra-durable, translucent premium blend, stiff out of the box and slow to wear even after years of regular use. It holds this disc's stable flight for a long time and grips well enough for a clean release in cold or wet conditions.

Thrown backhand flat and hard, the Jay stays straight and only starts to fade at the very end of its flight, which is exactly what makes it a favorite for a laser straight tunnel shot through tight trees. It has better torque resistance than most midranges, so a fast flick release will not turn it over the way it would a more understable disc. Compared to a Roc3, I get noticeably more distance out of it, and it is a solid complement to a more understable midrange when you need the other end of the stability range.
