Star gives this disc a dependable grip right out of the bag and holds up to plenty of tree hits before it starts to beat in. As it wears, the already generous turn opens up a little more, so a used Star Daedalus flips over even easier than a fresh one, which plays out as a feature, not a flaw.

Thrown flat this disc turns over hard and rides that turn for most of the flight before a light fade brings it home, so it works as a big anhyzer bomb, a hyzer flip through a gap, or a long distance roller for a bigger arm. A slower arm or a beginner gets real distance out of it without needing much power, since the turn does the work a faster driver would need speed to unlock. It is a common first distance driver for exactly that reason, and it counteracts a hard natural fade for backhand throwers who tend to finish left.
