The Discraft ESP Heat is an understable control driver built as Discraft's 2014 Ace Race disc, known for incredible glide and being one of the easiest ways for a newer player to add real distance.

ESP is Discraft's grippy premium blend, tacky enough to hold on to in cold or wet rounds and durable enough to survive years of practice throws. It carries a fair amount of dome on the Heat specifically, which is part of what gives this disc its long, floaty glide.

On a hyzer release it flips up flat and rides a long, controlled turnover line, which is exactly the shot newer players use it for to find their first real distance. Backhand throwers with more power find it goes laser straight with barely any fade once their release cleans up, and forehand throwers use it as an early bomber before their distance improves enough to need less turn.

It is genuinely beginner friendly without being a disc you outgrow immediately, since a big arm can still put it to work on long, controlled turnover shots.
