The Thought Space Athletics Ethereal Animus is an overstable distance driver built for intermediate and advanced arms, run here in the brand's premium Ethereal plastic. Players often describe it as sitting somewhere between an Innova Wraith and Thunderbird, and that comparison holds up on the course.

Flight Numbers: 11 / 5 / 0 / 2

Ethereal is a hard, high grip plastic that shrugs off tree strikes and fairway abuse, similar to Discraft's Big Z but grippier in the hand. It stays true to its overstable flight for a long stretch of use, and the relatively small rim keeps the disc comfortable for players with smaller hands.

On a flat release it holds a straight line with real glide before fading hard at the end, flying more neutral than the numbers suggest until you put real speed on it, at which point the fade shows up fast. Forehand throwers get a torque resistant disc that takes a hard flex line and stays true; I reach for this one whenever I need max distance on a forehand. Backhand throwers with a fast arm should expect it to burn out if thrown flat or on anhyzer, so a hyzer release gets more out of it. Beginners can still use it for forehand drives, but it really shines once you have the speed to make it fade on command.
