The Dynamic Discs Lucid Evader, stamped for Ricky Wysocki, is an overstable fairway driver built to hold a line when the wind picks up. Lucid is Dynamic Discs' workhorse blend, and on the Evader it turns into a control driver you can throw the same way every round.

Flight Numbers: 7 / 4 / 0 / 2.5

Lucid feels gummy and grippy straight out of the wrapper, with enough give to survive tree strikes without chipping. It breaks in slowly, so a fresh Evader is a hair more overstable than the numbers suggest, and a season of play settles it into the flight the box promises. That slow beat in is the whole appeal: you get years out of one disc instead of months.

Thrown flat it holds a touch of high speed turn before locking into a strong, dependable fade at the end, which is why it doesn't flinch in a headwind. On a forehand it takes a slight hyzer flip well, flattening out before finishing left to right. Compared to the Dynamic Discs Explorer, the Evader carries more finish and a little less turn, so throwers who found the Explorer too flippy land here instead. Slower arms get a straight, predictable flight, and bigger arms get a driver that survives full power throws without going long.

Throwing into wind a lot? The Fuzion Orbit Evader holds the same line in a stiffer, faster wearing plastic. Want a similar overstable driver from another brand? The Discraft ESP Heat covers the same job at a bit more speed. Browse the rest of our overstable fairway drivers.
