The Innova Halo Star Thunderbird is a workhorse control driver in Innova's beefier Halo blend, and it plays like the truest flying Thunderbird in the lineup. It sits between the Teebird and the Firebird for stability, with the speed to match.

Halo Star is firmer and more durable than standard Star, and on the Thunderbird that translates to a flight that holds its numbers for a long time without turning flippy as it wears. It still grips well enough for a clean forehand or backhand release, and it takes tree strikes without much damage.

Thrown flat at full power it goes long and straight with a soft, predictable fade at the very end, which makes it excellent for tunnel shots where you cannot afford any drift. On a hyzer it holds the line instead of flipping up early, and it stands up to headwind better than lighter fairway drivers. Both forehand and backhand throwers get a comfortable release off the beadless rim.

Good for players who already have a Teebird and want something a little faster and slightly more overstable for the same tunnel and control shots. New players can throw it, but it takes more speed to unlock the full flight than a Leopard would.
