Innova Halo Star Roadrunner (Reaper Edition)
1
The Innova Halo Star Roadrunner, stamped in our Reaper edition, is built for players who need help getting a driver up to full turnover distance instead of muscling it there. It carries one of the biggest high speed turn numbers Innova makes, and it earns every bit of it.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 5 / -4 / 1
Halo Star is a step above standard Star, with a metallic shimmer running through the surface and a bit more durability against scuffs and tree contact. It grips well in wet grass and doesn't slick up in the cold the way harder blends can. In hand it feels close to a Firebird, comfortable for both backhand and forehand.
Thrown backhand with a little spin it pulls hard right before fading back reliably at the end, which makes it a natural for cutting around trees or riding a fairway that bends. On forehand it holds the line well once you get the release angle dialed in, and it becomes a genuinely straight flyer once broken in. It's the disc I'd hand a newer player who doesn't have the arm speed to turn over a stable driver on their own, since the Roadrunner does the work for them and still has enough fade at the end to finish the hole cleanly.
Want even more turnover for tight anhyzer shots? The Halo Star Sidewinder flips even easier. Looking for the same understable flight with more speed behind it? The Halo Star Tern is the faster version of this idea. See the rest of our understable distance drivers.
