Discraft Z Line Fly Dye Raptor
The Discraft Raptor in Z Line Fly Dye plastic is a speed 9 overstable control driver with a flat top built to slice through wind on both forehand and backhand releases.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 4 / 0 / 3
Z Line Fly Dye runs Discraft's most durable blend through an individual dye process, so every disc carries a unique swirl while the grip, stiffness, and long-term stability stay identical to standard Z. It resists chunking on tree hits and will not soften into a neutral flight after a season like base plastic does.
The flat, comfortable profile makes this one of the better forehand drivers in the Discraft line, and backhand throwers get a dependable, hard fade at the end of every flight. It is extremely overstable out of the box, which is exactly what makes it dependable in a headwind but also why I would not hand it to a beginner still building arm speed. Advanced players use it as a utility disc for flex shots and any line where turning over is not an option.
Bag it next to a straighter driver: the Big Z Raptor shares the same flight in the toughest plastic Discraft makes. Want a softer flex on the same mold? The Jawbreaker Z FLX Raptor grips well even when it is cold out. Browse the whole Raptor collection.
