Discraft CryZtal Rattler (Ledgestone)
The Discraft CryZtal Rattler is a limited Ledgestone release in rare, clear CryZtal plastic, a stable putt and approach disc shaped like a scaled down Ultrastar, tall profile, paper thin rim, and all. Once this run sells out it is not coming back.
Flight Numbers: 2 / 2 / -2 / 1
CryZtal is a clear, glassy premium blend that holds up far better than the Pro-D plastic this mold usually ships in, which tends to beat up fast under regular play. It grips well without being tacky and gives the Rattler a distinct, glassy look that stands out in any bag.
It flies almost exactly like an Ultimate disc, floating and gliding toward the target instead of skipping past it. It does not take torque well, so a simple flick with plenty of spin keeps it accurate and close to windproof, and when it lands it absorbs the impact and stays within a couple feet instead of rolling away. That makes it an excellent approach disc inside 100 feet and a dependable putter for anyone who likes a slow, floaty release. The deep dish rim takes some getting used to if you are coming from a standard flat putter, but beginners and anyone with an Ultimate background will feel right at home immediately.
Want a lower profile putter for a more traditional grip? The Jawbreaker Magnet gives you a flatter release. Curious how it compares to a low glide approach disc from another brand? The Kastaplast K1 Berg plays a similar stop-and-stick role. Browse the rest of our stable putters.
