MVP Neutron Tesla
3
The MVP Tesla in Neutron plastic is a stable, low profile driver with a thin rim built for controlled distance rather than raw bombing power. MVP calls it the big brother to their Volt fairway driver, and it is the disc I reach for when I want a repeatable line off the tee instead of a coin flip.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 5 / -1 / 2
Neutron is MVP’s tough, opaque plastic, and on a rim this thin it still holds up to years of tree contact without going soft or losing its shape. It grips well on both backhand and forehand releases, and the flat profile means there is no dome fighting your spin.
On a hyzer it holds that line all the way through with a forward fading finish, and released flat it stays straight before fading home, often with a nice, predictable skip on landing. Give it anhyzer with real arm speed and it will hold a slow turnover the whole flight, while less experienced arms will feel it gradually flip up flat before it fades. It has become a workhorse tee shot for backhand throwers who want a controlled 300 foot drive, and the small profile makes it just as comfortable thrown forehand.
Bag it next to a driver with more turn? The Proton Tesla gives you the same shape in a stiffer, more overstable-leaning plastic. Want the grippiest version instead? The Plasma Tesla is the one to try. See the rest of our stable distance drivers.
