MVP Proton Tesla (Simon Lizotte Team Series)
5
The MVP Tesla in Proton plastic, stamped for the Simon Lizotte Team Series, is the flattest and most overstable version of this stable control driver MVP makes. Board flat with almost no dome, it holds up as a headwind fighter and a forehand bomber even when a Neutron or Fission Tesla starts to give up ground to the wind.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 5 / -1 / 2
Proton is MVP’s translucent premium plastic, stiffer than Neutron with a slicker feel that grips up after a round or two of play. On the Tesla it keeps that board flat top from ever developing a dome, a big part of why the Proton run flies more overstable than its siblings in other plastics.
On a hyzer it holds that line with a forward finishing fade, and released flat it stays straight before fading home, resisting turnover even into a stiff headwind. Forehand throwers get real value here, the thin rim and flat top make it a natural for a right to left finishing bomber shot. It rewards a bigger arm since the extra stability takes more speed to open up, and it makes a solid collector piece for anyone chasing every plastic run of this mold.
Collecting the Tesla in every plastic? The Neutron Tesla and the Plasma Tesla round out the set with slightly less stability. See the rest of our tour series discs.
