MVP Neutron Orbital
4
The MVP Neutron Orbital is one of the flippiest high speed distance drivers MVP makes, an understable driver built to turn and hold that turn all the way to the ground. Neutron plastic gives it enough grip and durability to survive the rollers and skip shots it is made for.
Flight Numbers: 11 / 5 / -4.5 / 1
Neutron is MVP's premium, slightly translucent blend, firm in the hand and slow to beat in. Even after a beat in period the Orbital stays understable, it just gets a touch easier to turn over on purpose. That durability matters here because this disc gets thrown into the ground on rollers more than most.
Thrown on a hyzer angle it turns almost immediately and burns flat, then keeps carrying right well past where an overstable driver would fade. Lower arm speeds get real distance out of it without much effort, which is the whole point of an 11 speed this understable. Bigger arms use it as a specialty disc for rollers and low ceiling shots through tunnels where a flatter flight would clip branches. It is not the disc for someone who wants a straight line; it is the disc for someone who wants to bend one.
Looking for the same turn from a different brand? The Discraft ESP Heat turns over almost as easily. Want less flip and more control while you learn the shot? The Prodigy 400 X5 is a comparable understable driver with a bit more fade at the end. Browse the rest of our understable distance drivers.
