MVP Proton Matrix
The MVP Proton Matrix is a flat, overstable midrange in MVP's grippier, faster breaking in plastic, and it often becomes the first midrange that actually earns a permanent spot in the bag. Proton beats in quicker than Neutron, which changes how this disc feels over its life.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 4 / -1 / 2
Proton is a softer, grippier blend than Neutron, closer to a premium base line feel, and it starts breaking in noticeably within the first season of use. A Proton Matrix usually starts life a little overstable and works its way toward a straight flying workhorse midrange as the flight plate wears in, which is exactly the kind of predictable aging players build a bag around.
Thrown flat it holds a small profile, board flat line with a controlled fade, comfortable in a power grip or a fan grip depending on the shot. It is not really a hyzer flip disc; full power throws still finish with authority, closer to a beat in Teebird than a flippy midrange. New players get a dependable, accurate midrange, and advanced players use it as an approach option through wooded courses where accuracy matters more than distance.
Want the same flight in a slower wearing plastic? The MVP Neutron Matrix holds its stability longer. Prefer something softer for putting greens? The MVP Electron Matrix is the grippiest version of the mold. Browse the full Matrix collection.
