The Innova Champion Color Glow Mako3, in Holly Finley's Tour Series stamp, is a stable midrange built to fly dead straight and not much else. It's the newer, slightly faster version of the original Mako, and it's become one of the most trusted straight-line midranges Innova makes.

Champion Color Glow feels a little flatter in the hand than Innova's base Champion, translucent with a visible glow charge that holds up under a flashlight for a full evening round. It's stiff when new and stays that way for a long time, so the flight you get out of the wrapper is close to the flight you'll get a year later. The flat profile takes some getting used to compared to a domed midrange, but it makes for a clean, predictable release.

Thrown level with a medium amount of power it goes dead straight, not turning right and not fading left, which is rare for a disc this speed. It's built for consistent upshots and controlled midrange drives more than distance, and it holds that line into a headwind or down a tunnel of trees just as reliably. New players get a disc that removes flight-path guesswork almost entirely, and anyone who wants a reliable ruler to compare other midranges against ends up bagging one. I use mine specifically for shots where I can't afford any turn or fade at all.
