Lone Star Discs Armadillo (Bravo)
2
The Lone Star Discs Armadillo in Bravo plastic is the softer, grippier build of Lone Star's thumbtracked straight putter, made for players who want extra feel over extra durability.
Flight Numbers: 1 / 2 / 0 / 1
Bravo is a step down from Alpha in stiffness, with more give and a tackier surface right out of the wrapper. It beats in faster than Alpha, so the grip gets even better with use, though it will show wear sooner on a mold with this much thumbtrack detail.
It holds the same dead straight line as the rest of the Armadillo line, with a light fade at the finish on both backhand and forehand releases. Compared to a Berg, throwers find it a little more comfortable in the hand and a touch less high speed stable, so it does not need quite as much power to control.
This is the disc I hand a new player who needs a straight, forgiving putter that gives useful feedback on release angle. Anyone using the Armadillo as a cheat code for accuracy off the tee on shorter holes will like the extra grip Bravo gives on approach shots too.
Prefer a firmer plastic that holds up longer? The Alpha Armadillo trades some grip for durability. Want to see where this shape started? The V1 Armadillo is the original run. Shop the rest of our stable putters.
