Discraft Zone (Z Glo)
Discraft's Zone in Z Glo plastic is the glow in the dark version of one of the most trusted approach discs in the sport. It is beadless, slim in the hand, and built with a thick 1.2 cm rim that gives you something to hold onto on a hard flick.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 3 / 0 / 3
Z Glo is Discraft's glow version of the Z line, so you get the same firm, slick feel as regular Z plastic with a real glow charge mixed in instead of printed on top. It stays stiff for years and grips a little better once it has some scuffs on it. Hold it under a porch light for a minute before you tee off and the glow lasts a full twilight round.
Thrown flat the Zone locks onto a straight line and finishes with the same dependable fade every time. Flick it hard on a chip shot and it fights through the torque without turning over, which makes it a strong forehand disc for tight, wooded approaches. On a hyzer it holds that angle instead of flattening out, and into a headwind it barely notices, it just keeps the line and drops. Backhand throwers use it as a reliable upshot inside 200 feet, and forehand throwers lean on it even more. Intermediate and advanced players get the most out of it, since it takes arm speed to appreciate the fade. Newer players sometimes find it drops fast until their power catches up.
Want the same flight without the glow? The Discraft ESP Zone breaks in slower and adds a touch more glide, and the Discraft Titanium Zone gives you a stiffer, cheaper take on the same disc. Check the rest of our glow discs for more twilight round options.
