Discraft Z Glo FLX Heat (Ledgestone)
The Discraft Heat in Z Glo FLX plastic was Discraft's 2014 Ace Race disc, an easy distance fairway driver with big glide, now cast in a soft, flexible glow plastic for this limited Ledgestone Wave 3 run.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 6 / -3 / 1
Z Glo FLX bends more in the hand than standard Elite Z and is opaque rather than translucent so it can hold a charge and glow after dark. It needs a few seconds under sunlight or a flashlight before it will actually show up at night, and it grips well even in cool evening air. It beats in gradually and stays soft, so the flippy, glidey flight this Heat is known for does not firm up quickly.
This is one of the easiest distance drivers to throw. A clean, flat release turns it over gently and lets it glide a long way before a light fade closes it out, and on a hyzer with any real power it will flip all the way to flat and carry a long, controlled turnover. Slower arms and beginners get real distance without needing to muscle it, and it doubles as a great roller disc when thrown on an anhyzer angle. Night rounds are the obvious use case here, but it flies exactly like a daytime Heat once the charge is in it.
Need it to show up when the sun goes down but want a different plastic feel? The Discraft ESP Heat is the daytime version in a grippier premium blend. Want the same flip with a swirled Reaper Edition stamp? Check the Discraft ESP Swirl Heat. Browse our glow discs.
