Royal Grand is a stiff, grippy premium plastic with a glossy shine, closer in feel to Innova Star than to Latitude 64's own Opto line. It handles rock and tree strikes without denting and keeps its overstable shape for a long time before it starts to soften.

On a flat release it holds a long, straight line before fading hard at the finish, and on a hyzer it will hold that angle all the way to the ground instead of flipping out on you. Into a headwind it barely turns, which makes it the disc I reach for on exposed, windy holes where a less overstable driver would blow off line.

Forehand throwers who need max distance out of a torque-heavy flick get a lot out of this one, since it resists turning over even on a hard sidearm release. It is not a beginner disc. A slower arm will feel the fade before the disc ever finishes its glide, so save it for once your drives are consistently past 300 feet.
