The Innova Boss in Halo Star plastic carries a Reaper stamp on the beefiest version of Innova's original speed 13 driver. Halo Star runs stiffer and more overstable than standard Star, with a distinctive swirl around the rim that makes every disc a little different. Halo Star is durable and beefy, and on the Boss it strikes a nice balance between glide and overstability that plain Star does not quite match. It fights headwinds well and holds a dependable fade even after a lot of use. The tradeoff is a firmer feel out of the package than Champion or Star, one that takes a round or two to adjust to.

You can rip on this disc and trust the stability without giving up much distance, which is unusual for a driver this overstable. Thrown with real power it turns over slightly before fighting back to a hard fade, and it handles wind better than almost anything else at this speed. Advanced players use it as their go-to for maximum distance drives into a headwind, and the fade is strong enough to survive a hard forehand flick without turning over. This is not a disc for a slower arm still building up to double digit speeds.
