Discraft ESP Swirl Thrasher (Ledgestone 2022)
1
This Discraft Thrasher is a 2022 Ledgestone Open run in ESP Swirl plastic, the same fast understable bomber as the FLX version but in a stiffer feel with the color mixed all the way through instead of just on the surface. It turns over slowly and evenly rather than flipping hard the moment you add power.
Flight Numbers: 12 / 5 / -3 / 2
ESP Swirl holds the same grippy, tacky feel as solid ESP, and being a stiffer blend it takes longer to beat in than the FLX version. That means the long, controlled turn you get out of the box sticks around for a good stretch of rounds before the disc gets any easier to flip.
Thrown flat with real speed it takes that turn and holds a long flex line before fighting back with a genuine fade at the end rather than a soft finish. On a hyzer flip it takes a little longer to turn over than a squirrelly high speed understable disc, which makes the timing easier to predict through a tight fairway. It rewards a bigger arm chasing max distance, and a slower arm still gets an honest hyzer flip without the disc getting away from them.
Prefer a flexible plastic for the same understable bomb? The Discraft ESP FLX Thrasher is a softer feel worth comparing. Want the standard ESP release without the swirl? The Discraft ESP Thrasher flies the same. Browse more Ledgestone discs here.
