Discraft Putter Line Challenger SS
The Discraft Putter Line Challenger SS is a beadless, slightly understable putter that started as a 2017 Ledgestone test flight disc before Discraft put it into full production. It is the flatter, rounder edged version of the standard Challenger, with a little more turn built in.
Flight Numbers: 2 / 3 / -1 / 2
Putter Line plastic is soft and grippy from the box, with just enough flex to feel forgiving on a spin putt. It is not the most durable blend Discraft makes, but it beats in fast and settles into a comfortable, slightly worn feel within a few rounds.
Inside the circle it flies flat and true off a push putt or a spin release, and the extra glide over a standard Challenger means less power is needed on longer jump putts to reach the basket. Thrown as an upshot it holds a straight line before fading gently left, which makes it forgiving on approach shots that come up a little short on power. It suits players who like a deep, full feeling putter in the hand and want more turn than a standard overstable putter offers.
Want it in a grippier premium plastic? Try the Jawbreaker Challenger SS. Want more overstable fade for windy approach shots instead? The Discraft ESP Zone is the usual answer. Browse the rest of our stable putters.
