Aura is firm and grippy out of the box, comfortable in the hand with a moderate rim width and a mostly flat top under a mild dome. It takes tree hits harder than the brand's premium blends and shows wear after a rough round or two, but that is the tradeoff for the grip and the price. As it beats in, the flight settles a touch less overstable without losing the fade at the end.

Thrown flat it holds a straight line for most of the flight and finishes with a clean, moderate fade, closer to a Teebird than a full meathook. On a hyzer it holds that line without fighting back, and into a headwind it stays predictable instead of ballooning. Forehand throwers get a comfortable release thanks to the shallow rim, and backhand throwers get a control driver that goes where they put it.
