Prodigy FX-3 500
The Prodigy FX-3 500 carries the same wide-rimmed control driver flight as the rest of the FX-3 line, now in Prodigy's firmer 500 plastic.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 4 / -1.5 / 2
500 is Prodigy's pearlescent premium blend, less gummy and stiffer than 400, and it holds its shape and stability longer through repeated rounds. If you want this mold to still fly like new a year from now, this is the grade to grab.
The wide rim holds an anhyzer line for longer than most control drivers before the fade shows up, and it takes a hyzer release just as easily. Push it with enough power and it hyzer flips cleanly, finishing with a dependable fade rather than a hard dump. It slots in alongside workhorse 9 speeds like the Valkyrie or Undertaker.
Good for players who already know they like the FX-3 flight and want a plastic that will not wear down over a full season of play. Works well on both backhand and forehand.
Prefer a grittier grip? The Prodigy FX-3 400 is tackier out of the box. Want a faster control driver in a similar stable-flying family? The Prodigy H3 V2 400 is a good next step up in speed. Browse the FX-3 lineup.
