The Prodigy 500 FX-4 is a fairway driver built to bridge the gap between Prodigy's F and H series, a fast control driver with real glide behind it. 500 plastic gives it a firm, pearlescent finish that holds a stiff flight plate through a lot of throws.

500 plastic on this mold runs stiffer than the numbers suggest, and some copies come noticeably domey, which pushes the flight closer to overstable than the card alone tells you. That stiffness pays off in durability, it takes a long time to soften and keeps its shape through years of fairway drives.

Thrown flat it does not turn over hard, just a long, pushing flight with a lot of glide and a modest fade at the finish, closer to a Thunderbird or Vanguard than a flippy turnover disc. Give it more speed and air and it will still hold a big anhyzer line for a controlled turnover into open holes. I have also used it as a stand up tunnel shot driver when I need the disc to hold a line through trees without much fade at the end.

A newer player gets a faster, more useful driver here than the numbers alone suggest, since the extra glide makes distance easier to find. A bigger arm gets a workhorse for rollers, turnovers, and long, straight fairway shots where reliability matters more than raw speed.
