Prodigy 400 PX-3
1
The Prodigy 400 PX-3 is an overstable putter with a flat top and a large bead, built to double as a driving putter as easily as it works from inside the circle.
Flight Numbers: 3 / 4 / 0 / 2.5
400 plastic is durable and grippy with a slightly gummy feel, and it resists turning over at higher speeds even when it is fresh out of the package. It takes tree hits well and holds its overstable line for a long time, so the resistance to turnover you buy stays put through plenty of rounds.
Thrown flat with speed it stays flat rather than flipping up, then closes with a firm, consistent fade, which makes it a reliable throwing putter for narrow, straight shots down a fairway. Putting with it, expect a flat release and a dependable finish rather than a lot of glide past the basket. Intermediate and advanced players like it as a driving putter for holes where accuracy matters more than distance, and the big bead gives forehand releases a clean, stable feel.
Want a fresh run of the same overstable mold? The PX-3 300 First Run is the base plastic version. Prefer a similar putter from another brand? The Kastaplast K1 Berg is a solid comparison for a low glide putter. See the rest of our overstable putters.
