Proton is firmer and a little slicker out of the box than Electron, and it takes longer to beat in, so it holds its snappy, straight flight for a long time. It has a similar depth to some deep-dish approach discs but flies far more workable than those, which is what makes it stand out.

Thrown off the tee it drives well under 200 feet with a clean, straight line, and it holds a hyzer line reliably on approach shots under 150 feet without much fade to worry about. It is not the disc for driving anhyzer lines, but for straight-ahead accuracy it is hard to beat.

Good for any skill level. New players get a forgiving straight flight for putting and short drives, and more experienced players like having a small, thin putter that still holds up to a power grip.
