The MVP Octane in Neutron plastic is a high speed, stable distance driver built for big straight shots down open fairways. MVP puts it in the same stability family as the Switch, Amp, and Wave, and in Neutron it lands right in the sweet spot between flippy and overstable.

Neutron is MVP’s workhorse plastic, opaque, grippy, and durable enough to survive plenty of tree strikes without cracking. It is a little less glossy than Proton but grips just as well when your hands are cold or wet, and it is the plastic I recommend trying first before reaching for the Octane in something more premium.
Thrown flat and hard it carries a straight-ish line before hooking up into its fade near the end, and an average release sees a reliable straight flight with a clean finish. It does not love heavy headwind or crosswind, so save it for calmer conditions or a tailwind hole where the extra glide pays off. Intermediate and advanced players will crush this one past 400 feet, and forehand throwers get real length out of the wide, comfortable rim.
