Lone Star Discs Glow Chupacabra
The Lone Star Discs Glow Chupacabra is an overstable control driver that fades hard right out of the hand, and it is one of the most overstable nine speeds I have thrown. If you play in constant wind, this is the disc that will not turn over on you no matter how hard you throw it.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 3 / 0 / 4
Bravo Glow gives this mold a beefy, high-shouldered feel similar to an overstable Firebird run, with enough dome to fit comfortably on forehand releases. It charges up and holds its glow well after dark, and the plastic takes a beating without losing its shape.
You are not going to get huge distance out of this one, but you get total control. Release it on heavy anhyzer and it will flip up and fade out exactly as expected, no turnover to worry about. On a forehand it gives a big pushing skip in most conditions short of thick rough.
Good for intermediate and advanced players who need a fade they can count on into a headwind, and a solid pick if you already carry a Firebird or Warhorse and want a comparable overstable option. Newer players will find it too much disc until their arm speed catches up.
Want the same mold with a softer, more flexible feel? The Lone Star Discs Alpha Chupacabra beats in faster. Need something a little easier to control? The Lone Star Discs Bravo Mockingbird turns over instead of fighting back. Browse our overstable distance drivers.
