Star's grip holds up in wet weather better than DX, and the disc keeps its stability through a lot of rounds instead of going floppy after a few months the way base plastics do. The rim is thin enough to sit comfortably in smaller hands, which helps on rollers and low, flat releases where grip control matters most.

Thrown flat it turns over gently and glides a long way before settling into a light fade, which makes it a strong low ceiling option in the woods. On its side it turns into a genuine roller, and with practice it holds a hyzer flip cleanly enough for touch shots around obstacles. It's a good driver for a player who wants glide and turnover without giving up all control, and a nice option for forehand throwers who want a flatter release than a fully overstable disc allows.
