Shimmer Star is Innova's Star blend with a metallic sparkle baked in, so it holds Star's grip while catching light on the fairway. It flexes just enough to smooth out the landing without turning soft. A brand new one turns a little more than a broken in one, so expect the flight to settle over the first dozen rounds.

Thrown with speed it glides through a long S curve before a dependable fade brings it home, closer to a Tern one speed slower than a hard turning driver. It rates about one tick faster than a Beast and two clicks faster than a Valkyrie, covering more ground on the same release. On a flex shot or open anhyzer it holds the turn longer than most speed 11 drivers before settling into the fade.

Big arms get a driver that will not fold into a roller at full power, and players moving up from understable mids get a way to add distance without losing the line. I like it on wide open holes where I want glide over a hard fade.
