Discraft Z Zone
3
The Discraft Z Zone is the overstable putt and approach disc you will find in almost every Discraft-sponsored player's bag, and Z plastic is the toughest way to own one. It is built for upshots you need to trust in any weather, not for gentle circle putts.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 3 / 0 / 3
Z plastic on the Zone is destruction resistant and holds its overstable flight for the life of the disc, unlike base plastic Zones that soften and flatten out with wear. It has a thick 1.2 cm rim that gives your fingers something to grip through, which matters most on a flick approach when you need real spin without losing control.
Thrown flat or on hyzer it holds and fades hard at the finish, so it handles headwinds and strategic fades better than most putters in the lineup. Backhand or forehand, it releases clean and predictable, and the strong fade means a flick putt or approach shot will not turn over on you even under torque. I reach for this disc anytime a shot calls for a flick, and it is the putter most people graduate to once a straight approach disc starts skipping past the chains too often. It suits intermediate and advanced players most, though newer players often carry one specifically for wind.
Want a grippier premium feel in the same overstable shape? The Discraft ESP Zone is the one most people start with. Prefer a stiffer, longer-lasting plastic instead? Try the Discraft Titanium Zone. Browse the rest of our overstable putters.
