Discraft Z Line Fly Dye Meteor
The Discraft Z Line Fly Dye Meteor takes Discraft's most understable midrange and dyes it in a unique, one of a kind color run over the brand's firm Z plastic.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 5 / -3 / 1
Z plastic is translucent, firm, and durable, the opposite end of the grip spectrum from ESP: less tacky in the hand but slower to beat in and better at holding its shape through years of throwing. The dye process only changes the color, not the plastic, so it flies and wears exactly like a standard Z Meteor.
Thrown flat and hard it turns and glides to the right for most of a right handed backhand flight with only a light fade at the very end, and on a controlled hyzer release it will flip up, ride flat, and land soft, the shot most people grab it for on a tight, forehand friendly line. A light release turns it over even more, useful for a controlled roller. Beginners get real distance and easy turnover out of it, and anyone working on touch approach shots inside 200 feet gets a lot of use out of it too.
New to the game? The premium Discraft ESP Meteor gives the same flight with more grip in the hand. Want the flight in Discraft's toughest plastic and a standard color instead of a dye run? The Discraft Z Meteor is the base version. Browse the rest of our understable midranges.
