Discraft ESP Meteor
The Discraft ESP Meteor is an understable midrange built for controlled turnover shots, the disc most right-handed backhand throwers reach for when they need a line that drifts right.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 5 / -3 / 1
ESP holds this disc's turn for a long time, which is unusual for an understable plastic. Even a well-used ESP Meteor stays close to that turn instead of flipping into a fully flippy disc, and the grip stays tacky through wet rounds.
With just a little power on a flat release it drifts into a smooth right turn and glides out further than the speed number suggests, and on a hyzer flip it holds a controlled line that works well for tunnel shots in the woods. It works both backhand and forehand once you learn the shape, and it is a strong complement to a Buzzz or a Verdict for the shots that need turnover instead of fade.
New players get an easy way to add distance without extra arm speed, in the 250 to 285 foot range where this disc does its best work.
Need a fading complement to this turnover disc? Pair it with the ESP Buzzz for the straight line in between. Want the same understable shape in a tougher plastic? The Z Meteor holds up to more power. See more in the understable midrange collection.
