X-Line is Discraft's value plastic, firmer and less tacky than ESP or Z but still grippy enough to hold on to in wet conditions. It beats in a bit faster than premium blends, which actually works in the Nuke's favor since a slightly worn X-Line Nuke turns over a touch easier for players who are not quite generating full speed yet. At this price it is an easy disc to buy two of and not worry about losing one in the rough.
It needs real arm speed to open up. Thrown with enough power it holds a long, controlled line before fading hard left at the end, and into a headwind that fade shows up early instead of late. It is not a beginner's first driver, the wide rim and 13 speed rating ask for a fast, clean release, but intermediate players growing into more speed and advanced players who want a dependable max distance shape both get real distance out of it. Forehand throwers like the thick rim for a stable grip.
