Discraft Putter Line Soft Zone OS
The Discraft Zone OS in Putter Line Soft plastic is the extra overstable utility disc players reach for when the standard Zone flips out under pressure, built in a flexible blend of Pro-D and X-Line.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 2 / 1 / 5
Putter Line Soft is grippy and rubbery, more flexible than a firm base plastic, and it stays comfortable in cold weather when other blends go slick. On a disc this overstable, the softer feel actually helps, since it is easier to control a full power forehand release without the plastic fighting your grip. It beats in gradually, but even worn in it will not lose much of the Zone OS's signature fade.
This is not a finesse disc. Thrown with power it dives hard left almost immediately and finishes with heavy, dependable fade, exactly what you want punching out of the woods, spiking a hyzer into the basket, or fighting a headwind on an approach shot. Glide is intentionally low at 2, so it will not skip past the pin the way a glidier putter can. It is built for intermediate and advanced players; a beginner will likely find it too demanding for a first putter, but anyone who already knows what a Zone does will recognize this as the beefier sibling.
Need something with a little more glide for longer approach shots? The Discraft ESP Zone OS flies the same shape in a grippier premium plastic. Want the standard Zone instead of the OS? The Discraft Jawbreaker Zone OS is worth comparing. Browse our overstable putters.
