Discraft Kratos
2
The Discraft Kratos in Paul McBeth's Signature Rubber Blend is an overstable putt and approach disc that plays less overstable than the 3 / 3 / 0 / 3 on the flight card suggests.
Flight Numbers: 3 / 3 / 0 / 3
The Signature Rubber Blend is soft and grippy, closer to a stiff rubber than a hard plastic, and it beats in fast. A brand new one already flies flatter and straighter than the numbers imply, and after a season of throwing it settles further toward neutral, closer to a straight approach disc than an overstable one.
Thrown flat at approach speed it holds a controlled line and finishes with a manageable fade rather than a hard cut, so it will not drift wide the way a true overstable putter can. On a full power throw it still holds enough fade to work as an upshot, just with less bite than the numbers on the card. It suits anyone who wants one disc for both putting and approach shots, especially a release that runs a little hyzer heavy and needs the disc to finish gently instead of hooking left.
Want the original, firmer feel? The Discraft First Run Kratos holds its overstable fade longer before it beats in. Want the same mold in a flexible tour series blend? The Discraft Z FLX Kratos is even softer in the hand. See the rest of our overstable putters.
