Discraft First Run Kratos
1
The Discraft First Run Kratos is the original production run of Paul McBeth's overstable putt and approach disc, molded in Discraft's grippy Putter Line rubber blend.
Flight Numbers: 3 / 3 / 0 / 3
Putter Line is Discraft's soft, tacky base plastic, built for feel over raw durability. It grips well in cold and wet rounds and beats in fast, so the overstable flight on a fresh Kratos softens toward straight sooner than a premium plastic would. The rim carries a bend along the lower shoulder that keeps the grip low profile without hurting release.
At approach speed it flies flat and finishes with a real, dependable fade instead of drifting past the chains, and on a full power throw it still holds enough fade to work as an overstable upshot into a headwind. It comes in more overstable than the flight numbers suggest fresh out of the bag, then settles closer to the stock 3 / 3 / 0 / 3 once it has some rounds on it. It works well for anyone who wants one disc to cover both approach shots and a windy putt.
Bag it next to the standard Discraft Kratos for a second copy at a different stage of wear. Want the Kratos flight in a soft, flexible plastic instead? The Discraft Z FLX Kratos is the tour series version. See the rest of our overstable putters.
