Discraft ESP Venom
The Discraft ESP Venom is a very overstable distance driver built for players with the arm speed to make it fly straight before it fades hard. ESP is Discraft's grippy premium plastic, and on the Venom's beadless rim it gives you a clean release on backhand or forehand.
Flight Numbers: 13 / 5 / 0 / 3
ESP holds its stability for years, so a Venom you buy today should fly close to the same in a few seasons. It is not as slick as Z, which means it grips well in cold weather and wet grass, and it takes a beating from trees without chunking.
Thrown flat with real speed, the Venom holds a straight line and finishes with a hard, predictable fade. On a hyzer it stays on that line, and on anhyzer it fights to hold the angle for a long stretch before settling back left, which is why it works for the flex forehand shot and for punching through a headwind. Slower arms will see it turn into a meathook, so this one is built for intermediate to advanced players who can get it up to full speed. Power throwers use it on tailwind holes and tight anhyzer lines through the woods.
Want more distance out of the same shot? The Z Venom beats in slower and holds this overstable flight even longer. Prefer a fairway driver with a little more control? The Discraft ESP Heat turns over easier for a slower arm. Browse the rest of our overstable distance drivers.
