Discraft Big Z Undertaker
5
The Discraft Undertaker in Big Z plastic is a moderately overstable control driver with a flat top and a shallow, comfortable rim that fits almost any hand. Big Z is the stiffest of Discraft's premium blends, so this version of the Undertaker holds its shape and its stability longer than the same mold in ESP.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 5 / -1 / 2
Big Z resists dings and scuffs better than any other Discraft plastic, which matters on a control driver that spends a lot of its life clipping trees on tight fairway lines. It stays firm in the hand rather than going soft and gummy, and that stiffness is part of why the flight barely changes as the disc racks up rounds.
Released flat it carries a small amount of turn before settling into a manageable fade, and on a hyzer it holds that line the whole way down instead of flipping up. It is a step up in distance from a Buzzz once you need 250 feet or more of straight line, and it works equally well on backhand or forehand since the fade is easy to read either way. New players get an honest first driver that will not punish a slightly off release, and it doubles as a headwind disc for anyone who already has a faster arm.
