Discraft Big Z Heat
1
The Discraft Big Z Heat started life as Discraft's 2014 Ace Race disc, and it has stayed a go-to understable control driver ever since. Big Z is Discraft's stable, durable spin on Z plastic, a bit more opaque and gummy, wrapped around a mold built for incredible glide.
Flight Numbers: 9 / 6 / -3 / 1
Big Z feels comfortable in the hand for backhand or forehand, with a smooth transitioning rim on a domey profile that lets the disc glide seemingly forever. It holds up to plenty of wear without going soft, and the flight stays consistent whether the disc is fresh or has a season of hyzer flips behind it.
Thrown flat it holds a long, controlled turnover before a light fade brings it home, and a hyzer release turns it into a proper hyzer flip that rides right for a long ways on backhand. Bigger arms use it as a swooping anhyzer disc that banks hard and holds its line into dogleg holes, while a beginner gets easy distance and a hyzer flip that is simple to learn. It also doubles as a roller when you put it down flat, so it earns its spot in more than one shot category.
