Discraft Big Z Crank
3
The Discraft Crank in Big Z plastic is a stable distance driver with enough glide to turn over for big arms and enough resistance to fly straight for everybody else. Big Z is Discraft's premium high speed blend, and on the Crank it runs a notch more stable than the same mold in ESP or standard Z.
Flight Numbers: 13 / 5 / -2 / 2
Big Z feels stiffer in the hand than Z Line and takes longer to beat in, which means the high speed turn you get out of the box is the same turn you get a year of rounds later. It holds up to tree strikes and pavement skips better than Discraft's softer blends, so it is a good pick if you tend to lose discs to wear before you lose them to the woods.
Thrown flat with real speed it turns and holds a long, controlled flex before fading back at the end, which is exactly what a slower arm needs for real distance out of a 13 speed driver. Power throwers who crank it hard will see the turn come out early and ride a wide S line down the fairway. It works for a new player building arm speed and an advanced thrower who wants a dependable max distance disc.
Prefer this flight in a softer, grippier plastic? The Discraft ESP Crank beats in faster and feels better in cold weather. Want a version that turns over even easier for a straighter arm speed? The Discraft Z Crank SS is the understable sibling to look at. Browse the rest of our stable distance drivers.
