Discraft Metallic Z FLX Zone (Ledgestone 2022)
2
The Discraft Metallic Z FLX Zone is the 2022 Ledgestone run of one of the most beloved approach discs ever made, this time in Discraft's bendy Metallic Z FLX blend. The flex in this plastic does more than change the feel, it helps the disc sit down on landing instead of skipping past the basket.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 3 / 0 / 3
Metallic Z FLX is soft and flexible in the hand with a metallic sheen exclusive to this Ledgestone run, and despite the bendy feel it takes a serious amount of damage without cracking or losing its shape. The give in the plastic is exactly what lets a hard approach shot stop close instead of bouncing away.
It stays overstable in just about any weather, which makes it a reliable off the tee option for anything inside 250 feet as well as a go-to approach disc. The shallow rim depth is comfortable in both forehand and backhand grips, and it handles the torque of a hard flick without ever turning over. It is the disc that gets you out of trouble when a sidearm approach around an obstacle is the only realistic shot. Intermediate and advanced players get the most out of it, but the predictable fade makes it approachable for anyone still building a forehand.
Curious how it compares to the standard build? The Titanium Zone gives a stiffer, grippier feel. Like a color shifting look instead? The Colorshift Z Zone keeps the same flight with a hue that changes in the light. Browse the rest of our Zone collection.
