Prodigy makes the F5 in a stack of plastics, and Air is the one built to get in the air with the least amount of arm speed. This understable control driver, or fairway driver if you prefer the older term, comes off flat and eases into a right turn, the exact shape that gets a new player their first real fairway shot.

Air is Prodigy's lightest blend, thinner and softer in the hand than the standard 400 series I throw in my other F5s. It still grips fine in wet grass, but the lighter weight is the whole point: less mass means less arm speed needed to turn the disc over, and slower throwers feel that on the very first throw. It will not shrug off tree hits the way 400 or 750 plastic does, and that is the tradeoff for the extra ease.

Thrown flat, the F5 turns over gradually and holds a gentle drift for most of the flight before settling into a short fade. On a hyzer it flips up fast, which makes it a reliable hyzer flip disc for shaping lines through gaps in the trees. Slower arms get real distance out of it without forcing the release, while bigger arms will find it turns over too easily on a flat throw and is better saved for touch shots and turnovers.
