Discraft Z Glo FLX Sol
1
The Discraft Sol in Z Glo FLX plastic is a 2018 Ace Race disc, a thin rimmed, very understable midrange built for touch approach shots and easy turnovers, now in a soft glow plastic that lights up under a charge.
Flight Numbers: 4 / 5 / -3 / 0
Z Glo FLX flexes more than regular Elite Z and stays opaque so it holds a glow charge from sunlight or a flashlight for night rounds. It has a low, putter like profile with a micro bead, which keeps it comfortable in smaller hands, and it grips reliably even when the plastic goes soft with wear.
It flies almost like a flippy putter crossed with a small midrange. A flat release turns over gently and glides a long way with almost no fade at the end, and on any real hyzer it will flip to flat and hold a wide, sweeping turnover. Beginners use it to learn what a correct release actually looks like, since the disc rewards a clean, level throw and punishes a bad one by turning over even harder. It is also a solid choice for slower arms who want distance out of an approach shape, and one of the more forgiving discs to weave through trees with.
If your misses are usually short, try the standard Discraft Z Sol for the same flight without the glow. Want more grip in a premium feel? The Discraft ESP Sol is worth comparing. See our full understable midrange discs.
