MVP Neutron Wave (Reaper Edition)
7
The MVP Neutron Wave in this Reaper Edition flame vortex stamp is one of MVP's most popular stable distance drivers, and Neutron is the plastic most people bag it in.
Flight Numbers: 11 / 5 / -2 / 2
Neutron is MVP's firm, everyday driver plastic: durable, decent grip in the cold, and slow to lose its flight even after a lot of rounds. Compared to a fresh Fission Wave, which flies noticeably flippier out of the box, the Neutron version holds a straighter and more predictable line from the first throw and keeps that line longer as it beats in.
Thrown flat it turns gently to the right through the middle of the flight before easing back with a light fade at the end, a longer, wider-rimmed version of the Inertia's flight. Into wind it handles better than lighter, more understable drivers, though a slower arm speed will find it stays a touch more overstable than the box numbers suggest. On a hyzer it flips to flat and carries a long S curve, which is where intermediate players get their first taste of real distance. Power throwers get a reliable point and shoot flight for open fairways, and it doubles as a forehand driver for anyone learning to control high speed turn.
Want it flippier out of the box? The MVP Fission Wave beats in faster and turns over sooner. Looking for the same flight in a beefier plastic? The MVP Proton Wave holds a straighter line under more power. Browse the full Neutron plastic lineup for more.
