MVP Neutron Detour
1
The MVP Neutron Detour is an understable midrange that does a little bit of everything, and it has replaced more than one player's fairway driver thanks to how much glide it carries. Neutron is MVP's standard grippy plastic, and it is the one this mold gets bought in most often.
Flight Numbers: 5 / 5 / -2 / 1
Neutron plastic grips well in most conditions and holds up to regular play without much wear showing early. It stays a touch less stable than a mold like the Hex, so it keeps turning over for shots that need it rather than settling completely straight.
With a slight hyzer it holds a dead straight line out to about 250 feet, and past that it starts drifting unless you add more hyzer. With more hyzer it mellows into a controlled hyzer line, and thrown flat with power it will turn, glide, and come back with a gentle fade for a full S-shaped flight. On anhyzer it can hold a sky anny or work as a roller.
Good for players who want one midrange that covers turnovers, straight shots, and hyzer lines instead of carrying three different discs. New players get an easy, forgiving flight, and more experienced players use it in tight, accuracy-first fairways.
Want the same mold with a Reaper stamp? The MVP Neutron Detour (Reaper Edition) flies identically. Prefer more turnover in a small midrange? The Lone Star Discs Lima BB6 is a good comparison. Browse our stable midrange discs.
