MVP Eclipse Glow Wave
The MVP Eclipse Glow Wave is a stable distance driver, essentially an Inertia with a wider rim that adds speed and a little extra distance without changing the flight much. Eclipse is MVP's glow plastic, so this version keeps working after the sun goes down.
Flight Numbers: 11 / 5 / -2 / 2
Eclipse glow plastic charges quickly under a UV light and holds a strong charge deep into a night round. It has a slightly denser feel in the hand than MVP's standard base plastic thanks to the overmold tech MVP uses across the Wave, so it feels heavier than the number on the stamp suggests.
Thrown flat with real power it takes a wide turn before settling into a long glide and a soft finishing fade. On a hyzer it flips up to flat and holds that line, and it resists getting knocked around by wind better than similar discs in this speed class, which is the main reason players upgrade to it.
Good for intermediate players who want an easy step up in distance from a fairway driver, and for anyone finishing a round after dark. Slower arms should expect more turn until they can put full speed on it.
Want the same mold with a Reaper stamp? The MVP Eclipse Glow Wave (Reaper Edition) flies identically. Prefer a firmer, more overstable plastic? The MVP Proton Wave holds up longer. Browse our stable distance drivers.
